DJ Alpha Productions is a team of 21 wildly passionate DJs, playing weddings, schools, nightclubs, radio mix shows, opening for major recording artists and loving every second of it.

That’s not the beginning of the story though, the story of DJ Alpha starts back in 2000 when the owner, Dave Galloway, began a high school co-op at the now closed Dr. Disc Records in downtown London. In the basement of that record store was a hidden haven for DJs, 12″ vinyl records, turntables, mixers and so much more. Using any excuse he could to spend time down there, he began to learn how to mix on a pair of Technics 1200s, and bought a pair that he still has today. It was a long time before any venue in the city would give him a chance, but in 2002 GT’s London gave him a shot to play on Thursday nights, and he instantly fell wildly in love with DJing live in front of a crowd. For five years he played every Thursday and eventually Saturday night, including live to air on 106.9 FM.

When GT’s closed in 2008, it was time to branch out and try new things, and that included bringing club style mixing to weddings and parties. Now instead of mixing hip hop all night, it’s a mix of Top 40, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s across all genres to provide a smooth flow of great dance music all night long. High school and club events are also a huge passion of ours; if your legs hurt the morning we will take that as a compliment. The solo operation of one DJ began bringing in new DJs, either training them from scratch or bringing in respected talent from within the city.

In-between we’ve also experienced opportunities that we never dreamt possible; winning awards, being flown to Las Vegas, California, Virginia and more to DJ, playing live on our favourite radio stations in London, working with amazing charities, club grand openings, epic weddings, meeting unforgettable people and making a living off the thing we’re most passionate about.

What’s next for us? Well hey, we’ve got a solid business plan, but as long as we continually meet people who trust us to take their event to the next level we will be very happy.
